Toncoin’s Hamster Kombat Hits New Milestone – Is This The Next Big Thing In Crypto?

Telegram-based game Hamster Kombat has recorded another milestone in terms of its impressive growth since its launch. Based on the remarkable strides the project has made so far, it could be the next big thing in crypto.

Hamster Kombat Records 239 Million Users In Three Months

Telegram’s founder, Pavel Durov, revealed in a post on his Telegram channel that 239 million users have signed up for Hamster Kombat in just three months since the Telegram mini-game launched. Further highlighting Hamster Kombat’s achievements, Durov mentioned that it took only 73 days for the project to reach 100 million monthly users.

The Telegram founder added that Hamster Kombat records four to five million new users daily, making it “the fastest-growing digital service in the world.” Hamster Kombat’s growth has also been evident in its ever-increasing social media following. The Telegram-based game now boasts 32.3 million subscribers on YouTube and 11.4 million followers on the X (formerly Twitter) platform.

According to Cointelegraph, the team behind Hamster Kombat has applied for a Guinness World Record (GWR) for its YouTube channel, claiming it is the first to gain over 10 million subscribers in one week.

Meanwhile, Durov also remarked that Hamster Kombat is leading the pack of a new wave of mini apps on Telegram that are set to launch. He believes Hamster’s “amazing growth” shows the “viral potential” of Telegram’s mini-app platforms.

As for what to expect from Hamster Kombat, Durov mentioned that the team will soon mint its token on The Open Network (TON). Hamster is expected to airdrop a significant token supply to its million users. Depending on the success of its token launch and airdrop campaign, Hamster Kombat could enjoy a similar trajectory to Notcoin, another telegram-based game, which has its NOT token ranked as the sixty-third largest crypto token by market cap.

Notcoin Ushers In The New Wave Of Telegram Mini Apps

Notcoin recently announced a Telegram gaming accelerator in partnership with Helika Gaming, which will help drive the new wave of mini-games on the social messaging platform. With $50 million, Notcoin and Helika will help game developers build their projects on the Telegram platform and TON blockchain.

The TON network is set to benefit significantly from this development and the successes of platforms like Hamster Kombat because of the number of new users that could be onboarded to the network. Notcoin’s successful launch earlier in the year and this meta of telegram games have already sparked a significant surge in TON’s network activity.

Bitcoinist recently reported that TON was ranked among the top layer-1 blockchains based on its 3-month growth of Daily Active Users. The network witnessed a 97% increase in its Daily Active Users during this period. Meanwhile, dating back to around when Notcoin and some other Telegram games launched, TON has witnessed 1,346% growth in its Daily Active Users.
