The United Nations (UN) will mark this year’s Women’s Day by holding its first-ever female-focused NFT exhibition.
On March 8, the woman-led global initiative “Boss Beauties’’ will unveil its new one-of-one NFT art collection, entitled “Boss Beauty Role Models” at the UN headquarters in New York.
A massive event at the UN for International Women’s Day
To organize this year’s live-streamed event, the UN is collaborating with the global impact consultancy firm 5th Element Group that launched earlier this month.
The event, which will include the Role Models collection exhibition, will also feature a full day of keynotes and panels with speakers from well-known brands, corporations, and influencers.

Boss Beauties spun from My Social Canvas, a company founded by Lisa Mayer, who for ten years has made it their mission to support the emancipation of women through mentorship and scholarships.
Launched in September on OpenSea, the Boss Beauties collection includes 10,000 NFTs–featuring digital portraits that “capture the beautifully diverse, empowered women.”
In line with the message “stronger together,” the Role Models collection brings together artworks from global artists–featuring “real life Boss Beauties throughout history, as well as modern Boss Beauties making history in the workforce today.”
Charity auction
“The unveiling of Boss Beauty Role Models at the United Nations is a historical moment that we are incredibly proud of,” said Lisa Mayer, Founder, and CEO of Boss Beauties.
Role Models will be sold via charity auction culminating on a day ahead of this year’s International Women’s Day.
The proceeds will go to Boss Beauties Scholarship Fund for Women and Girls through their non-profit My Social Canvas.
“Having a collection with such a strong and inspiring message be the first NFT art collection to display at the United Nations is truly monumental. Most importantly, it resembles our larger mission to empower Women and Girls at the forefront of technology, leadership, and creativity,” Mayer added.
