Decentralized Information Asset (DIA), a trustless oracle network, has unveiled its new oracle architecture, “Lumina,” according to a Sept. 11 statement shared with CryptoSlate.
Lumina
DIA co-founder Paul Claudius stated:
“The new design of our architecture is a paradigm shift for oracles and its users that addresses previously accepted shortcomings in the industry.”
According to the press statement, the project’s architecture is modular, allowing advanced oracle capabilities across sourcing, verification, storage, processing, and data delivery.
Meanwhile, Lumina’s significant feature is its reliance on DIA’s native layer-2 rollup, Lasernet, which integrates advancements in Ethereum scaling technology.
This architecture reconsiders trust at each stage of the value chain. It includes staking mechanics that incentivize a distributed node network to gather data from over 100 centralized and decentralized exchanges. Nodes are rewarded with DIA tokens, securing the system through their contributions.
Lumina also utilizes Zero Knowledge components to verify the accuracy of the raw data and the computations performed. Data storage and price computations are done on Lasernet, ensuring transparency, immutability, and scalability in the on-chain processing layer.
Additionally, a decentralized messaging protocol transfers the processed data to any required blockchain.
Zygis Marazas, DIA’s Head of Product, said:
“Lumina is the culmination of four years of web3 infrastructure innovation cast into one product. It lays the foundation for our vision of a truly decentralized and trustless oracle network that maximizes security and trust while retaining the flexibility to serve any use case.”
Phased launch
The press statement revealed that the launch of DIA Lumina will happen in phases.
In the first stage, the network will rollout the Lasernet testnet and an early staking campaign to allow users to familiarize themselves with the new solution.
The second phase will introduce a closed Lasernet mainnet and live staking. The third phase will launch the open mainnet, allowing broader participation in the network.
DIA stated that the project’s testnet phase would begin soon.
