On May 26, 2022, the CoinEx Charity activity of “Over 10,000 Books for Children’s Dreams” was officially launched in Turkey. The CoinEx Charity Book Donation Worldwide activity will be held around International Children’s Day. These 10000 books are also a special gift from CoinEx Charity for children in poor areas all over the world.
In 2022, CoinEx Charity established Multi-Million-Dollar Charity Fund to meet the need of children’s education worldwide. CoinEx Charity’s book donation activity will end on June 20 and will successively arrive in Turkey, Syria, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Nigeria, Malaysia, India, Brazil, Germany, and South Korea. Now, one-third of the journey of the book donation activity has been completed, reaching four countries.
The first stop: Turkey
On May 26, the first stop of the CoinEx Charity Book Donation Worldwide arrived at Antioch in Turkey, donated 2,000 books to 5 local schools and purchased new bookshelves for each school. CoinEx Charity has been welcomed by teachers and students of those schools.
The second stop: Syria
After 11 years of war in Syria, the COVID-19 pandemic, and an economic crisis, education for Syrian children and youth has been severely disrupted, leaving more than 2.4 million out of school. CoinEx Charity donated 1000 books and set up a reading corner to boost Syrian children’s education at Dummar Modern School on May 28.
Nania is a kid at Dummar Modern School. She is now reading a book. “I like reading because books can take me to know the new world,” she said. The book is one of the 1,000 books donated by CoinEx Charity. Dummar Modern School received the books through Youth Association. These books will serve more than 500 Syrian children.
The third stop: Thailand
On International Children’s Day, CoinEx Charity donated 1,000 books to Wat Chai Chimphli Elementary School in Bangkok, Thailand. The school with more than 300 students has long lacked book resources, meanwhile, CoinEx Charity also helped them build a new book corner to provide a better reading environment for students.
“I have never seen so many books,” one student said, the new book corner was loved by the students of the school. CoinEx Charity also received thanks from students and teachers.
The fourth stop: Indonesia
Like many other schools in impoverished areas, many families in Indonesia have limited budgets to cover only textbooks needed for teaching, meaning students have little access to publications such as storybooks. Those who love to read have to borrow from the district library, which is far away from their homes and schools. By donating new books to the children, the CoinEx Charity activity of “Over 10,000 Books for Children’s Dreams” has helped nourish their thirst for reading, instilling them with the knowledge and passion to strive for their highest potential.
In Indonesia, CoinEx Charity visited the Yayasan Remaja Masa Depan Orphanage in Jakarta and the Islamic Orphanage in Yogyakarta donated 2,268 books and built charitable reading corners to deliver warmth and empower the children there. During the ceremony, the headteachers of two schools thanked CoinEx Charity to bring these resources to the school. “The students now have many new sources of knowledge, and these will empower them to pursue their dreams in the future.” one principal said.
The charity activity of “Over 10,000 Books for Children’s Dreams” continues. Next, CoinEx Charity will go to poor areas in Indonesia, Nigeria, India, Malaysia, Brazil, Germany, and South Korea to bring this special gift to local children and spread love and knowledge with books.
CoinEx Charity hopes that these books will instill reading interest in children and help them to reach out to a world beyond home and community and perceive an ever-expanding array of possibilities.
All children in the world should have the right to have quality books. They can use to learn to read, read to learn, and develop a love of reading. CoinEx Charity also calls on loving people and governments worldwide to pay attention to children’s education and contribute to improving children’s educational environment together.
