In March 2020, the most amount of Bitcoin (BTC) was sitting on exchanges at 3.2 million BTC.
Since then, over 1 million BTC has left exchanges — accelerated by the collapse of Luna and FTX in 2022.
In 2022, roughly 600,000 BTC was taken off exchanges — which now sits at 2.2 million BTC.
This equates to roughly 11.7% of the Bitcoin circulating supply on exchanges.
