FTX made the announcement via their official Twitter handle. The platform shared a commercial celebrating Osaka with a core message aligned with their statement: to make crypto easy for everyone.

On the other hand, Osaka celebrated her new partnership via her Twitter account. The tennis champion referred to NFL legendary player Tom Brady, with his wife former Victoria’s Secret model Gisele Bündchen, and NBA player Stephen Curry, working with FTX for a similar purpose.

Osaka said the following tagging Sam Bankman-Fried CEO at the crypto exchange platform:

If Stephen Curry, Tom Brady, and Gisele Bündchen are in then you know I am too!  Excited for the journey ahead with FTX and Sam Bankman-Fried.

Curry joined the FTX ambassador team in September, a few months after Brady and Bündchen revealed their partnership in June 2021.

The crypto exchange has been making a push into the mainstream and has secured important partnerships to achieve its objective, to promote digital assets.

In 2021, The platform purchased naming rights for the Miami Heat arena, now called FTX Arena. This was celebrated within and outside the industry and was perceived by some users as a sign of maturation.

Recently, during the NFL’s Super Bowl, FTX aired a commercial with comedian Larry David. As with Osaka, the Super Bowl commercial aimed at targeting a wider audience, and to attract into digital assets by associating it with the future of finance or its next step in evolution.

The Life Of A Crypto Ambassador

Brady seems to be the most active of FTX’s ambassadors, at the moment. The NFL star is very active on social media and often interacts with users and crypto founders.

According to a report from the New York Post, the NFL legend recently “urged” its partner FTX to donate BTC to a charity decided by a fan. This person bought a football priced at over $500,000. The item lost value after Brady decided to end its sudden retirement from the sport. The report said:

The value of the ball collapsed the day after the record pigskin purchase, when Brady announced he was returning to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers again in the 2022 season.

The exchange is yet to reply, but as the New York Post stated, even if FTX sends 1 full Bitcoin to a charity, the football would have lost over 90% of its value.
